The River Roding through Ilford Project is about improving the River Roding environment in line with what local people want. The changes to Uphall Recreation Ground represent the first phase of this important piece of work.
The project to improve Uphall has been completed and local residents have been key in shaping every stage of the new design.
The improvements to Uphall, which include a new children's play area, outdoor classroom and a dog walking area was made possible mainly due to funding from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
Over 100 people have signed to become "Friends of Uphall", which will give the area extra eyes and ears to highlight any issues and ensure the park stays in its current excellent condition.
