The ODPM funding will also result in environmental improvements to the Ilford Bridge Area. A public art feature in the form of night lighting of a couple of the concrete supports to the A406 will be completed in march 2006 together with the improvements to Uphall Recreation Ground. The pictures below from the initial tests shows a vivid and colourful night-time lighting of two of the piers at Ilford Bridge.
