Community Consultation

The River Roding through Ilford project involved the community at every possible juncture. We undertook several community consultations to ensure that the plans reflected what local residents actually wanted to see in the park. Feedback from local residents has overall been very positive about the planned works and the future of the Uphall Recreation Park. The following documents show in more detail the results of this community consultation, and the photos show the role local residents played in getting involved in the planning process.

Click here to view a video vox pop of a two-day community consultation event held at Uphall Recreation Ground on 27/11/04 and 04/12/04. The event was attended by over 50 residents, Ward Councillors and Police Officers from the Safer Neighbourhood initiative. The video is a graphic demonstration of residents' views about the park and some of the improvements they would like to see.
